Those Who Rose from their Ashes

It says that ‘when going gets tough, the tough get going’. No matter what you do, life will give you tough test at every stage. How you overcome those depends on you. You can choose to crumble under the pressure or you can choose to fight back against all odds. What you choose decides the way ahead for you.

Here are the stories of few people who created an unthinkable benchmark overpowering all the hurdles of life.

Walt Disney

Rejected by a newspaper because he ‘lacked imagination’ Walt Disney is a perfect example of people who rose from the dust. His dejection did not stop there. Disney lost his first character ‘Oswald The Lucky Rabbit’ to Charles Mintz, a New York film distributor. However, this did not stop him from striding ahead in life. Disney came up with characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto and many more. Today Walt Disney is no small name in the industry.

Oprah Winfrey

Born in the poverty, Oprah Winfrey has got a story to tell. In her childhood, Oprah was sexually harassed by her uncle, cousin and a family friend. Neither the drawbacks nor the struggles succeeded in stoppingOprah. Soon, she joined a media company and there was no looking for her. Today Oprah is one of the most famous people in the media industry, where she is hosting her own talk show called ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’.

The creator of ‘Harry Potter’ was not really born lucky. From battling depression to facing series of rejection, J.K.Rowling has seen it all. Rowling drew inspirations from the people present in her life to create one of the most famous series of all time, ‘Harry Potter’.

These personalities suffered from many disadvantages. Life’s journey was not easy for them, but sheer confidence and tenacity led them to become inspiring figures today.
