TOP SELLING CARS IN INDIA 2017

By the end of 2017, the Indian Automobile Industry is expected to hold the third place in the world. This automotive industry accounts for 7.1 % of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

Talking about the passenger vehicle department, there are not only Indian players like TATA MOTORS AND MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA but are also filled with foreign players like VOLKSWAGEN, CHEVROLET, FORD, TOYOTA, HONDA, RENAULT, NISSAN, HYUNDAI & the ruler of the passenger vehicle department MARUTI SUZUKI  which is formerly known as Maruti Udyog Limited, is an automobile manufacturer in India.

Some of the premium brands like AUDI, BMW, LAND ROVER etc has also entered the Indian auto market but their presence is not that strong.

2) Maruti Dzire – Then comes the entry-level compact sedan that is the “Dzire” formerly called “SwiftDzire” from Maruti Suzuki which managed to sell about 18,088 units till date in 2017. Coupled with a tiny boot and a punchy engine. It’s extremely desirable for those who want to buy a sedan at the price of a hatchback.

3) Maruti Suzuki WagonR – At third, comes the “WagonR” from the house of Maruti Suzuki again. It is in the form of a Blue Eyed boy and Stingray models. It’s sold about 14,930 units in 2017 till now.

4) Maruti Suzuki Swift Acquiring the fourth position is the “Swift” from Maruti Suzuki. Popularly known as the “driver’s car”. As it carries a peppy engine, you can just have unlimited fun with it, be it in the city or an open highway. It has sold around 14,545 units till date in 2017.

5) Hyundai Grand i10 – Popping in the fifth position is the “Grand i10” from Hyundai. It has sold about 13,013 units till now in 2017. If you are looking for a premium hatchback which has decent build quality and drinks up less fuel, this car makes sense.
